Linda started singing professionally at the age of fourteen with various local R&B, Jazz, Gospel and Pop groups in her hometown of Kansas City, MO. Linda moved to Denver, CO where she embarked on her own solo career. Upon arriving in Denver and some months and years later Linda met and started networking with friends in the theatre circle and soon became involved in theatre work portraying such roles as Billie Holiday in, "In The House of Blues" and "Black Nativity" at the Eulipions Cultural Center. Linda also performed in "Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum" with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance and Theatre Troupe and as Nia in, "In Search of Ekstine" at the Shadow Theatre. In 1997 Linda was nominated "Female Vocalist of the Year" in the Ron Slaughter/Silvia Penny Gospel Music Awards in  Denver.

Then in 1999 Linda released her new single CD self titled "Linda" featuring a Hip Hop groove entitled "The Other Woman" which she also co-produced and wrote. Linda won't stop at just taking the world by storm but is posturing herself for the moon that she may land amongst the stars. Joining the MilesApart Band in January of 2000 she has caused a fusion of energy and grace, passion and discriminate taste that will be talked about and awed for times to come. Her melodic and electrifying vocal and stage performance and experience has brought continuity to the frontline of the MilesApart Band. Though dynamic as a comet falling to earth you will be sweetened by the softness in the way she will serenade and smile upon you. So reserve yourself a night or two of bliss and get to this. **Please note that Linda has changed her stage name from "Spruell" to "Styles" effective January, 2003. The new stage name she will be using is Linda Styles**
